Feeder Drama

That squirrel, a furry bandit,

doesn't care about the seed meant

for chickadees, or the fat finch.

He wants the suet, every inch.

He hangs there, upside down and bold,

his tail a question mark, stories told

in every twitch and scrabbling claw.

A tiny heist, against all law.

Just wanting to fill up his gut,

like some of us, but less a nut.
