Terms and Conditions
These terms describe how The Poet's Place is meant to work in practice.
The short version is that your work remains yours, the platform only takes the limited rights needed to run the service, and AI tools should be treated as assistive rather than authoritative.
Using the service
The Poet's Place is a place to write, store, share, and discover poetry. By using it, you agree to use it lawfully and in a way that does not damage the service or interfere with other users.
Eligibility
You should only use the service if you are allowed to do so under the laws that apply to you, or if you have any permission required to use it.
Accounts
You are responsible for the activity associated with your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure.
You should provide accurate account information and avoid impersonating other people or misrepresenting your identity.
Your poems and other content
You keep ownership of the poems, drafts, collections, comments, messages, and other content you create.
By using the service, you give the platform the limited permission needed to host, store, display, organize, transmit, and process that content so the product can work the way you asked it to.
Private work and AI features
Private poems and drafts are intended to remain private unless you change their visibility.
If you request tutor feedback or analysis, the service may process that content as needed to store it, deliver the feature, and generate the requested result. AI output can be useful, but it can also be incomplete, imperfect, or wrong.
Community features
The platform includes community tools such as likes, saves, comments, contests, collections, direct messages, Flits, and Quots. If you use those features, your activity may be visible where the product is designed to show it.
Public-domain archive
The platform may also host public-domain poetry and related archival material. That archive exists to support reading, search, curation, quotation, analysis, and literary discovery in one consistent place.
Basic safety
We may limit, remove, or suspend access when necessary to address unlawful, infringing, spammy, abusive, or service-damaging use.
Availability and changes
The service may evolve over time. Features can change, improve, or be removed, and the platform may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or technical reasons.
