Pinned and Forgotten

The corkboard groans beneath old paper—

notes curled and yellowed, pinned to rust.

Lost pets wander in faded ink,

garage sales offer dusty hope.

A scribbled phone number peeks

from beneath a peeling flyer for lost time.

Thumbtacks stand like tired sentries,

stuck in a war against forgotten days.

The smell of old paper and dust

clings to this patchwork of small lives,

something waiting for someone to notice

all the stories no one reads anymore.
