True Shot

That phrase I flung,

so sharp and mean,

from a mouth that stung,

a bitter scene.

I hated saying it,

the truth so stark,

then heard them weighing it,

in the quiet dark.

Someone else,

not me,

just spoke the words,

a cruel decree.

It settled in,

a hollow dread.

My anger's sin,

precisely said.
