Dust and Light

A cracked suitcase, edges frayed,

dusted webs stretched thin and swayed.

Sunlight pierced the stale, dry air,

caught motes dancing unaware.

Beneath old coats, a photo torn—

faces cracked and worn, forlorn.

Hands hesitate to touch the past,

the silence thick, the moments cast.

Dust and light, in broken bands,

drift between forgotten lands.
