Mirror’s Edge

A photograph cracked at the seams,

two children locked in fractured dreams.

One frowns sharp, the other looks away,

a moment caught in yesterday.

I heard their voices, distant, clear—

words I tossed like stones in fear.

The shove, the laugh that cut too deep,

a weight I carried, heavy, steep.

No innocence to claim or hide,

just the bruise where truth collides.

In that silent room I saw the pain,

reflected back, my own disdain.
