Faded List

Taped crooked to cold steel—

paper curled, edges browned,

a list written in a rush,

fingers smudging ink like old ghosts.

The addendum scrawled sideways,

a hurried afterthought fading fast,

words blurred beneath fingerprints,

a conversation frozen in adhesive.

The tape dries brittle, peeling,

the smell of fridge mingling with dust,

a reminder stuck in place,

an echo of forgotten errands.

I touch the note—

a brittle map of small demands,

a thing taped down

but ready to slip away.
