Center

The water’s taking time to boil.

I’m leaning back against the foil

of some old takeout on the shelf.

I’m mostly talking to myself.

I set the knife-point on the wood.

It stays upright. I knew it would.

Eleven pennies on the heat.

A balanced life is quite a feat.
