Pinned Life

Yellowed paper curls at the edges,

faded magnet struggling to hold

this faded list of simple needs.

Eggs. Milk. Bread—

words smudged by kitchen steam,

scribbled in a rush, forgotten,

but still fierce in their quiet claim.

It hangs there, a witness to days

where survival means paper,

where the small battles

are taped to cold steel,

whispering stories of what must go on.
