Unfinished Threads

The cursor blinks — an impatient eye

on a blank page I can’t begin.

Delete. Reinstall. Restart again.

Each time, the same old story

half-told, swallowed by doubt.

Words pile up, stray and ragged,

scraps of thought like broken wire

snagged on the edge of silence.

The draft folder fills with ghosts

of sentences that lost their way,

stuck beneath a frozen cursor,

a knot no patience can untie.

I chase the thread,

but it slips,

every beginning

already an ending unmade.
