Family Strain

The screen glowed stark, a digital decree,

A name I knew, passed down to me.

My aunt's own ghost, a fading flame,

Now burning in my blood, the same.

The doctor's words, a sterile chart,

Confirming what I feared at heart.

This old disease, a stubborn guest,

Putting my own strength to the test.

The image of the ghost in the blood was interesting.

The digital decree line felt kind of weird.
