You shrugged your shoulders, said 'my bad,'

just like you always did, it made me mad.

But I just nodded, let the anger pass,


like water through a broken glass.

And now you're doing it again, the same old trick,

that flimsy sorry, makes my stomach sick.


It cost you nothing, that soft sound,

while I just left myself on common ground.

No lessons learned, no price you'd pay,

just cheap grace, thrown away.
