The Winning Point

Their name popped up on my phone today.

A suggestion.

I remember the kitchen light hitting the tile

and the way I found the exact word to end it.

It was like a scalpel.

They stopped blinking.

Their eyes just went flat, like a screen turning off.

I won the argument.

I got the last word and the silence that followed.

I’ve been living in that silence for five years.

It’s a very quiet house.

The description of the kitchen light on the tile is okay.

The scalpel part is a really good image.

the phone suggestion bit is relatable.

Yeah it is creepy how the algorithm just throws that stuff at you out of nowhere.
