Heavy Pull

Rain pulls the air down, heavy,

like the earth is holding its breath.

A leaf peels off the branch,

drops slow—

not falling, just yielding

like something stretched too thin.

Wet and trembling,

it slips through the sky’s fingers,

a silent pull that drags the world

closer to itself,

closer to the wet pavement,

closer to the weight of everything.
