Blurred green

The bus, it passed the coffee shop,

its awning green, distinct and worn.

I saw it, then the world just stopped,

a quiet space, newly born.

Her spot by the window, always free,

now just another empty chair.

No reason given, none to see,

just absence, hanging in the air.

No word, no fight, no final sound,

just distance, growing, slow and deep.

A silence where a bond was found,

a promise that we couldn't keep.

#heartbreak #lingering absence #loss #quiet grief #unspoken goodbye
