Fragments of Us

In the depths of the drawer, a lanyard lies bare,

its colors once vibrant, now frayed with despair.

I reached for my keys, but the past drew me near,

remnants of laughter, a time when you were here.

Those bright threads of memories now tattered and worn,

carried moments of joy and the hearts we’ve adorned.

In searching for keys, I unlock so much more—

a life intertwined, now a silence I bore.
