IV

Part of COMEDY

And I trembled — now it no longer smiled,

It had forcedly smiled — now not even so.

Oh, fearful face, terribly wild,

Terribly silent face or woe;

Worn, hysterical, mad, unfree,

Woe-twisted face of Comedy.
