Signal Off

I stopped pressing keys

into that dark space—

a blinking cursor, cold and patient,

mocking my reach.

Unread messages stacked

like unopened letters,

a monument to failures

I could no longer patch.

The screen glowed with distance,

a pale crack splitting us,

no sound but silence,

no bridge but absence.

I folded my hands, stopped

throwing lines into that void—

letting the last thread snap,

watching the fall.
