Solo on Repeat

I spun the tale with practiced grace,

weekend laughs, the crowded place.

But the ticket stub folds and curls,

a secret kept from friendly worlds.

I walked those streets alone and slow,

claimed their light as friends I know.

Eyes flicker—a quiet slip,

a single truth behind my lip.

Solo trips with borrowed names,

stories coated in softer frames.
