An hour dissolved

An hour dissolved,

stolen between cracked ceilings

and screens scrolling

messages I don’t want.

The clock ticks, smeared with dust,

hands stuck wrestling

seconds that won’t loosen.

Frozen, I sit,

watching time slip past,

a thief’s soft footsteps

carrying moments I begged to keep.

An empty hour hangs

like a breath caught

between forgetting

and too late.
