The video uploaded, my voice off-key,
liquid courage from the bottle set free.
Bright screen illuminating the shadows I cast,
comments like fireflies, flickering fast.
Some laughed, some clapped, a few just mocked,
and yet in that chaos, my spirit unlocked.
I twirled in my shower, a star for a day,
underneath the guise, I wished I could stay.
For a moment, I soared, felt the warmth of the light,
a performer in life’s most unguarded sight.
But the laughter died down, like smoke in the air,
and silence returned, leaving me bare.
