Between Us

In the corner, shadows cradle your breath,

a booth where secrets unravel with grace.

This chasm between heart and tongue, a dance with death,

words trembling on edges, a brittle embrace.

Here lies the truth in the space between lies,

a fragile glass breaking, but mending the soul.

I listen in silence, beneath muted sighs,

while confessions hang heavy, my heart, a whole.
