Time's Brew

A jar bubbles on the counter,

sweet and sour memories trapped within glass,

like something I’ve buried, left to rot and renew,

waiting to explode like buried dreams.

The scent of neglect clings to the walls,

forgotten fruits and flowers swirl in a mix,

each pop a reminder of life left behind,

watching it fester, watching the past rise.
