Reflection

Beneath the streetlamps, a flash caught my eye,

a glimmer of chrome on a stranger's fine car.

Reflecting my chaos, my doubt, and my lie,

I wonder what hides beneath that bright star.

It shines like a promise, perfect and bold,

yet fingerprints smudge, echo stories untold.

This polished facade, a thin, fragile guise,

makes me question the truths buried deep inside.
