Reflected Glimpses

In the garage, I brushed against the cold

chrome surface, tarnished yet still sharp,

each flicker a memory of motion, speed,

and the echo of engines roaring alive.

This hubcap, an old friend from days gone,

reflects fragments of sunlight, whispers of youth,

reminding me that some things do remain,

even as we fade, even as we rust.
