Echoes of a Parking Lot

I sat beneath the open sky,
an empty lot where echoes lie,
in the cracked asphalt's sunlit glow,
where fleeting moments come and go.
Two voices clash, a fight on display,
words like arrows, swift and gray.
The soda cups swirl in the breeze,
remnants of laughter, vanished with ease.
Once we parked our hopes here, side by side,
in a world that felt large, where love could abide.
Now silence reigns, and I can't help but see,
the ghosts of what was, no longer with me.
