The Sound of Work

The printer coughs, a mechanical sigh,

as I fight through reports, my patience runs dry.

Monotony lingers, a hum in my brain,

each page that spills out feels tethered to pain.

Ink streaks the paper, a story repeats,

I chase down the clock, but it never concedes.

Suffocated by silence, the gears grind and churn,

drowning my thoughts in the lessons I learn.
