Beyond the Drink

A cup of dark brew, steam rising slow,

as shadows of morning hang heavy and low.

In a café corner, sharing a table,

a stranger’s quick smile feels oddly stable.

Conversations meander through laughter and care,

while stories pour out like cream in the air.

Coffee, not just liquid, but a lifeline I hold,

beyond every sip, there’s warmth in the cold.

It binds us together, in moments we sip,

a ritual grounded, through heartbreak, a trip.

This drink bears my burdens, the chaos, the thrill,

in each bitter taste, I find solace, I fill.
