Cracked Reflections

A snapshot frozen, flaws caught in the frame,

where shadows of laughter hold echoes of shame.

Digital mirrors can’t soften the truth,

my thumbnail betrays the innocence of youth.

Eyes slightly squint, as I scroll through the past,

fragments of joy that just didn’t last.

A cracked mirror reflects, but the smile feels forced,

as I hunt for the moments that left me divorced.

What’s seen in a pixel, in this still, quick glance?

The weight of each click feels like a lost chance.
