Dinner Repeats

Seven plates, each empty and bare,

a cycle of hunger, a weary affair.

The same taste lingers, a flavor gone dull,

a repetition that stretches, time’s endless pull.

An empty chair across the way,

where laughter once bloomed, now shades of gray.

With every bite, the memories fade,

meals blend together, in a monotonous parade.
