Just Another Click

The gray arms spin, a tired sigh,

metal on metal, passing by.

My card goes flat, then a quick beep,

another day, secrets I keep.

Push through the gate, the floor is worn,

a million footsteps, newly born

to the same old grind, the same old need.

Planting the same, exhausted seed.

It lets you in, it lets you through,

but where it leads, it's nothing new.

Just another hall, another door,

to stand right where I stood before.

The cold steel groans, a mechanical prayer.

Stuck in the spin, just going nowhere.
