The Jolt and Spill

That bump, it rose up

from the flat gray lot.

A sudden hump,

I hadn't caught.

The car flew, just a bit,

then crashed down hard.

A shock, a split,

a broken playing card.

And then the wet.

A cold brown stain.

The coffee, yet

to soak the pain.

Sour smell, a bitter spray,

on the floor, it spread.

A messy, ugly way

to start my head.

Just sitting there,

a pool of sludge.

I didn't care.

Couldn't budge.
