Stillness in Motion

In the hum of engines, my thoughts start to race,

a stoplight flickers, I’m lost in the space.

Brake lights like stars, a constellation in red,

where clarity hides, and confessions are bred.

A horn blares a warning, jolts me awake,

from dreams that weave worry, decisions I make.

In this standstill, I ponder the roads yet to roam,

while time, in its silence, reminds me of home.
