Light on Skin

The mirror reflects, harsh and unkind,

the soft curve of collarbone, tangled in mind.

Scars etched in stories beneath sterile glare,

revealing the beauty hidden in care.

I wash my hands, feel the water run cold,

the weight of my day in reflections so bold.

In the starkness, a glow fights the battle within,

as flaws find their worth, and courage begins.
