Threshold Thoughts

Light pours through the gap, a slice of the day,

illuminating corners I’ve chosen to hide.

The door stands ajar, a soft invitation,

a reminder of moments I’ve pushed to the side.

Air rushes in, uninvited and bold,

whispering secrets of stories untold.

What lingers beyond this threshold I’ve made?

A world that feels distant, a truth that won’t fade.

The space between edges becomes a chasm of thought,

as I stand on the brink, longing for what I’ve sought.

Will I step through the light or retreat into gloom,

lost in the shadows of this familiar room?
