Search History

The ache is under my left rib,

a dull, heavy pulling

that wouldn't let me sleep.

The house is silent at 3:00 AM,

except for the hum of the fridge.

The man on the medical forum

described the same dragging weight.

He said it starts as a nuisance

before it turns into a cage.

The top comment told him

to get his papers in order.

The blue light of the phone

reflects in the glass of stale water

on the nightstand, making it look

like something pulled from a wreck.

I shouldn't have looked.

I should have stayed in the dark.
