Interest

The screen is blinking, faint and slow.

The numbers fade before they show.

I saw him by the frozen peas.

A sudden shaking in my knees.

He didn't ask me for the bill.

The air in the aisle was very chill.

He looked down at the generic flakes.

I felt the way a person breaks.

The silence cost a lot today.

More than I could ever pay.

He turned his cart and walked away.

The sky is staying heavy gray.
