FRAGMENT OF DELIRIUM

I know not whether my mind is broken

Nor do I know if my mind is ill;

I know not if love is but the last token

Of God to me, or a word unspoken

      In a chaos of will.

My thoughts are such as the mad must have

      And dead things guard my soul

Grotesque and odd are the shapes that rule

In my brain as worms in a grave
