The room is dark

The room is dark.

Just the blue glow

on my face.

My thumb, hovering,

then pressing hard.

The cursor blinks,

an expectant eye

in the search bar.

A question I’d bury

under a ton of rock,

typed out, raw,

into the anonymous digital night.

What else is there

but the sterile glow

and the anonymous trail?

#alienation #digital solitude #existential questioning
