The Search Bar's Glow

It started with a tremor,

just a little jump in the left arm,

a soft, persistent buzz.

Nothing, really.

But the quiet grows large at 2 AM.

So I typed it in, felt the blue light

wash over the ceiling, a cold moon.

'Left arm tingle, sudden onset.'

Each scroll was a drop,

a deeper dive into words I didn't know,

conditions that clawed at the edges of sleep.

'Rare,' 'progressive,' 'incurable.'

I closed the lid, but the glow stayed,

behind my eyes, a frantic pulse.

And the ache, just a little ache,

now feels like everything.
