Lessons in Bloom

The scent of jasmine wafts soft in the air,
as I sift through the past, hope lingering there.
A photo unguarded, it catches me bare,
each moment that blossoms, brings sorrow to share.
A smile from her lips, a story laid down,
a wisdom long whispered, now feels like a crown.
Yet in the brightness, shadows of frown,
the weight of her words seem to pull me around.
What once felt like knowledge, now heavy like lead,
as voices of youth drift, where time gently bled.
Lessons wrapped tight in the joys that we dread,
reminders of love, where innocence fled.
