Faint Reverberations

In the hollow of stairwells, footsteps softly tread,

each sound bounces back, a heartbeat instead.

A neighbor calls up, their voice lingers sweet,

as I stand in the shadows, where silence retreats.

The clatter of heels, the whispers of shoes,

dancing on concrete, where memory brews.

Each sound wraps around me, a soft, muted blend,

in the curves of the concrete, where echoes ascend.

These moments collide in the air that I breathe,

a tapestry woven of every reprieve.

In spaces confined, where solitude grows,

I find pieces of life, in the echo that flows.
