True words in anger

Water spilled slow, steady,

slapping the warped linoleum

with a sloppy slap that made my patience snap.

I said it—words biting,

a blade dipped in heat and sharp,

"This house is falling apart,

just like everything else we can't fix."

There was silence—heavy, stunned,

then the drip and the damn leaking,

like a wound left open too long,

and yeah, it hurt, but it was the truth

that festered under broken taps and cracked smiles.
