Paused Subscription

The screen blinks: "service ended."

No countdown, no soft goodbye.

Just a void where sound used to live.

My finger hesitates —

swipe left, then stop,

last song paused mid-verse,

its echo bleeding through empty rooms.

The silence hits like a closing door,

a playlist unfinished, a connection snapped,

and I’m left counting seconds

that aren’t coming back.

No warning.

No rewind.
