Inherited Turn

Today, in the lot,

pulling the sedan in,

I felt it,

that small, familiar hitch

in my wrist,

a quick lift

of the hand from the wheel's top.

Then the micro-turn,

a straightening.

His ghost in my palm,

the worn leather giving

under a pressure

I didn't learn,

but took on,

like weather.
