Too Much Air

My phone just buzzed. 'We need to talk.'

And I just stared, at the stupid screen.

Like there isn't enough to walk

through already. This whole mess, this scene.

Math test went to hell. Just went.

Teacher said 'disappointing.' Like she knows

anything. The sky feels rent,

and everything is just too close.

This backpack. It's so heavy, man.

Books, notebooks, all these expectations.

I just want to like, make a plan

that doesn't end in these frustrations.

My room is dark, but the screen's too bright.

I wish I could just stop. Just stop.

This air is thick. I can't breathe right.

Like something's gonna finally drop.
