The grocery lights hummed

The grocery lights hummed,

a pale white drone.

My shoulder blade

felt suddenly known.

The thin shirt clung,

a second skin.

The collarbone stark,

where light rushed in.

A sharp, clean line,

a fragile peak.

So much exposed

when you don't speak.
