Glare

Hours spent clicking

through old folders.

The screen glowed late.

A face I didn't own,

uncooked.

The smile stretched thin,

a forced thing.

And the eyes, blank.

Reflecting only the wrong light.

A tilt of the head

like a question

that never got asked.

It’s deleted now.

But the flatness

remains.

Where the light hit wrong.
