I watch as a raindrop hangs on a web

I watch as a raindrop hangs on a web,

its fragile body trembling, poised to break.

This moment, so clear, refracts all my doubts,

reflections of self, each layer, unspoken,

yet laid bare, like secrets caught in glass.

Conversations swirl around me, heated,

the word 'transparent' thrown like a dart,

I feel the weight, the shame, the crack,

if only I could shed the layers,

each shard of truth, heavy, but necessary.

#self reflection #shame #truth #vulnerability
