A spoonful of sugar melts quietly down

A spoonful of sugar melts quietly down,

Into water, where faith wears a crystalline crown.

Each grain that disperses, a belief held so dear,

Dissolving like whispers I no longer hear.

The sun sets slow, casting shadows that creep,

Into corners of hope where I used to leap.

As sweetness retreats, it leaves bitter trace,

A reminder that faith can dissolve without grace.
